filter question

should i get a KnN cone filter or save myself some cash and go with the imitation KnN?

Depends on how much you like your engine. Don't go cheap on filters. Buy the K & N.

bullshit. K&N filter= better filtration than stock filter do and also also a lot more air to pass through. They are made of a much higher quality and much finer material. They are world reknowned for being the best and that is what they are. Find a better filter and let me know because you won't. Get the K&N and have piece of mind.

Have you done any tests yourself with different filters? I haven't but according to this guys results i would say that K&N=poor filtration but excellent air flow.

It generally agreed that K&N has poorer filtration than stock filters. That's why K&N's are best when they are a little dirty.

that is true...but even a stock filter doesnt get everything - only something solid would stop everything...so if the K&N doesnt filter quite as good, it is just fine - its not like anything will get through that will cause any damage. I ran a K&N on my old truck for nearly 100k miles with no problems.
