Figured out the three year rattle

After years of trying to diagnose and figure out what this damn rattling sounds was when going over smaller bumps in the road I finally figured it out today. Before I say what it was this is what I replaced.

1. shocks
2. springs
3. sway bars
4. sway bar bushings
5. upper control arms
6. lower ball joints
7. tie rod ends
8. strut mounts

It was the damn front transmission mount. One of the bolts was sheared off completely so I shimmed it and tack welded it and now the rattle is completely gone. Now I need to replace the tranny mounts as the rear is very rusty and might as well change both. What a relief, but I can't believe I didn't notice it sooner, I feel so stupid. Well that's my story. Maybe someone with a rattling problem will now check their tranny mounts and save themselves a lot of money.

a rattle hmmm- well as a service writer viewpoint: you must need all new mounts and a camfibrillator adjustment

Everyone with any rattle over bumps- check all the motor and trans mounts!

The obvious answer in this case is then the rear-passenger seat front mount. Shim it and tack weld it.

the moonroof seems to make a slight rattling sounds when closed from time to time. When I hear it I just tilt it up and the sound goes away.

No rattling during start up that I could hear, but my exhaust note is pretty loud at start up.

Its not really a rattle though...more like a squeak, the sound styrofoam makes when you rub it against something..if that makes any sense..

normally I just turn the radio up, but I would like to fix it. Drives me crazy knowing its there..lol

^ shut the roof cover it will stop. I use to have that squeak and I can't remember how I got rid of it. I think one of the window-tracks was loose, there are a few small screws. Just check the track with it open.

Maybe, since the dome is so close to the moonroof, and compared to the moonroof, how many things can the dome have to make noise.

I occasionally have a ratlle from there too. Only when I reallllly listen for it, there's no pattern at all

I dunno where the rattle is comin from and it's so random that I can't figure out if it's sunroof related or not. But it will go away when I push up. I've done everything..greased tracks and gasket and still nothin. And it is a rattle, not a squeak.
Rockstar - Sound sometimes travels and it may not be up there. Just a suggestion..you know the plastic that your seatbelt locks into? The metal to metal contact on the piece holdin it up made that squeaking sound for me and as soon as I siliconed that ish it went away. Hella annoying squeak but I fixed it!! If it doesn't work, I'm stumped
