Fender Liners

So I rolled my front fenders and tucked the liner behind the mounting points for the clips since mine are broken anyway, issue is I'm still rubbing the liner in general and it's breaking in several places. Can I just remove the liner all together or is that a bad call?

find a few spots of liner to real metal, then use a self tapping screw on the upper- above tire part of the liner
You do want it to keep water from splashing and spraying inside- wetting alternator or other bad things
some customizing is allowable as needed for your project!!

are you having trouble above the rear tire, at bumper cover to fender screw attachment point?
wide tires will break the plastic when suspension allows wheel movement -doesn't take much of a bump in the road on lowered cars for that to occur (guess how I know= Tein SS on 18's), use dremel or cut-off wheel to remove offending fender material

The back will need cutting but I don't rub as long as no one sits in the back so it's not super pressing the issue is solely in the front atm. I'm gonna see if i can't do what you suggested but I literally lost a chunk of plastic this morning from the front left.

Haven't had fender liners for years. LOL, water won't be an issue at that point, especially for ur alternator. The thing sits really high.

You'll just have more rocks and debris hitting metal, mostly thru the fender and ur doors.

cut the liners... keep the portion that covers the doors as when dirt and mud builds up there over time.. it gets nasty....... on my genesis.. i cut out only the top portion of the liner and left the front and rear parts of it.. atleast this way it will minimize the amount of shit that gets to my doors.

Yeah I'm expecting a crap winter and I need to raise the car so that's why I don't want to get rid of them. Idk how you're gonna extend them though..could you make a plastic mold?

Thats what im planing on doing. I picked up an extra set from the salvage yard to use. Biggest issue is the tabs to mount it being rolled more than stock.

Tuck it above the tabs and bend them up and JB weld it together.
