felt tip for tint

sorry if this was posted already but does a 2002 tl need felt in order to put on tints? someone told me i needed felt so the rubber wont scratch the tints. i need some feedback before i put some tints on

No it does not, it's not a problem on the 2nd gens. Only the 3rd gens had that problems. Not sure about the 4th gen.
