Feeling like a traitor.

Well I been thinking about selling the TL. I love the car even more then when I first got it, but I need to start looking for a truck or an SC300. I'm not trying to sell the car on the thread. What I would like to know is. Is it better to take the mods off the car and try to sell it that way? or Should I keep the mods on there? The only engine mods I have are CAI and Headers. The rest are suspension, and audio mods. TIA Eddie

Take them out man, because everyone interested in the car is going to tell you that it's not their problem you added them and it should not be included in the price, unless you can sell it some teenager interested in that stuff and knows the actual value of what you have. Otherwise sell it separately.

Thumbs up

agree with above, there is no way you will get your money back on the mods you spent. i used to have a corolla, and had a tough time selling it with rims/intake/exhaust. took all of those things off and put stock stuff and sold it for kelly blue book price no question asked. Yet when i had the stuff people were asking half it was worth i was like f*** u!!!

Take out the mods, try to sell the modifiied parts out first. Then if they dont sell then just take it as a loss and leave them on the car. You can try to use the modification as a selling attribute. Also when selling, clean the car up nicely, some tire shine, and some air freshner adds curb appeal.

good luck

Thanks I will be putting a lot of work back into the car to make it look or be stock again. I guess I'll leave the audio except the sub. Too much work to pull the speakers out and looking for the stock ones.

modded cars usually make people think "how hard did this guy drive the car". plus you can always make some money parting it out in the black market here and benefit us - the people who actually care about the TL. good luck with your sale.
