Faulty caliper?
Faulty caliper?
I am writing for my brother. But since he is not very mechanically inclined, I do the routine maintenance on his 1999 TL.
I have had to replace the rear brake pads on his car twice within a year and a half. It appears that the driver's side is wearing VERY unevenly. the pads will wear down to metal at one end of the pad. And the other end of the pad appears to have little wear.
I know alot of posts are on here about shoddy rotor quality from Honda/Acura, but in my brother's case, could this be the caliper? Thanks.

sounds like there is a problem with the proportioning system causing the rear to wear that fast. it could also be the rear caliper. mabe having a shop look at it would be a good thing to do
