Whats the fastest, you've been in your TL? or other car? I took my TL(non type S) to 98mph the other day(feels very stable, and able to go an extra 40mph!!), with only 2kmiles on it
I did 107mph in my 2000 cavalier Z24, on a trip down south! Its a funny story actually, I drove with my mom as the passenger, and the car was LOADED with luggage! When we got to tennesse and hit those hills and valleys, I looked at the speed and it read 107! The only reason It happened was because I was going down hill at 80mph steady, and I guess gravity did the rest, because I didn't give it more gass, and the thing Was hitting the fuel cut-off!

The fastest I've gone in my ('01) TL is 110mph and she wasn't even breaking a sweat. She was steady and planted.
With other cars:
125mph in my '93 Vigor. I was driving on a lonely stretch of highway between Chicago and Champaign, IL. I was basically the only car on the road and figured I'd see how fast I could go. I previously hit 110mph a few times. It was summer and I had the A/C on. I got up to 120 and she was running out of breath. Flipped off the A/C and got it up to 125mph before I chickened out and let up. Didn't want to get caught for "felony" speeding. I don't think it had much more in her since I think the Vigors were electronically limited to 130. The car was steady though without a hint of vibrations.
125mph in my wife's previous ('93) MX-6 LS V6. That car was fun to drive and was pretty quick in it's day. She felt like she could have pulled up to it's 145 mph governor with no problems. I did it on my way up to Wisconsin (I-94). The car felt like it was glued to the road. In hindsight it was pretty foolish since that strectch of road always has cops.
Hit the limiter on '90 Blazer at 110. The POS was shaking like crazy!
I buried the speedometer in my old '78 Impala several times, but I don't know how fast I was really going since the speedo only registered up to 85mph. That was more of an experience with the typical floaty ride and numb steering of those '70s boats.
Don't do that too much anymore. A family tends to make you realize you're not invincible.

Let's see...
2002 TL-S --> 115mph
1993 300ZX 2+2 --> 150mph (my old car, now dad's car)
1993 Miata --> 120mph (my car before the Z)
1969 Chevelle --> 100mph (scariest thing possible!)
1993 Pathfinder --> 110 mph (my mother's...very stable surprisingly)

wow all this talk about top speed makes me think of the mc laren F1! I mean dam, What it must feel like to go 240mph in a car that can handle it! I mean the car should be able to screach the tires at 150mph!:wow:

2000 TL - had it two weeks - 110mph. It is amazing how stable it feels at that speed and how quiet. Had my 99 GTP to 120, but it didn't feel as stable and was not nearly as quiet. 94 Dodge Ram 4x2 reg cab short box - 100mph - not much fun.

03 Acura TL - 0 mph , I haven't even test drove yet.
71 Pontiac GTO = 140, dealer mechanic was trying to blow the engine. He couldn't. Front end was so light....if we had hit a nat :wow: we would be dead now!

I did 220kph(speedometer reading) in my brother's 330Ci effortlessly, too bad it's governed
then I did about 150kph in my TL-S because it's only a week old, but I feel a lot more confident in the BMW, so hopefully this will change soon after I drop the car :p

what's the cutoff for both tl-p and tl-s?
i did 181 or 182kph and would've kept going but i ran out of road (we don't have many highways here in canada...i was driving along a rare small stretch of highway that connects the university to a major city street)
but i think i better wait till i get bigger tires 1st before i attempt it again altho i was surprised by the smooth ride with stock tires.

Did 143 MPH in my 1994 25th anniversary Mustang Cobra (Woodhaven Road for anyone from Philadelphia)
I can remember 127 MPH in my 99 TL-Navi
Somewhere around 70 in my 2003-TLS Navi (It is only 2.5 weeks old and no VTEC yet)

110 on a TL-P
Have you guys seen the video this guy made in his Ferrari(?) where he clocked 320 mph (?). He made the video and sold it to several people including an undercover officer and got arrested. The video is constantly featured on Scariest Police Chases.

I'm such a wimp. The fastest I've ever gone was in my TL, was around 100 mph on a lonely stretch of interstate that's never seen a patrolman. I'm too scared to go much faster, I'll try it on a track to go faster.

I thought I knew where the damn cops are as well, since I've been here for 8 years, but no
I got caught speeding in my old Chrysler (I won't tell you the speed I was doing of course :p ), and I got a fat ticket that costed me $430 or something...

I took my TL to 140, racing a Prelude on an empty freeway. I was ahead the whole time, but from 130-140 the Prelude went from his front bumper at my rear passenger door to his rear bumper at my front bumper!
