Lol.

You might need to do a lot more work (if the TL owners are anything like CL owners)

There are CL owners in the low 12 area (if not high 11's by now).

Yea...Turbo-charge your TL-S and then have NOS and making sure nothing pops....then maybe u will be in the high 12's. As well as what RUF said...get some tranny upgrade, suspension upgrade, (slips) and great tires.

Not me . . . too much $$$ to run a lot faster with this car . . .

But I have run 14.5s with just an intake . . .

I'm working on getting pullies and the ThermoBloc and hope to run 14.3 or better . . .

. . . then I'm budgeting for headers and some minor cooling and intake tweaks in hopes of a 14.05 or less, taking the fastest TypeS title away from Mattg

The biggest issue in running 13s NA isn't the engine as much as it is the suspension and tranny . . . the tranny is really not set up for 0-60 or 1/4 mile performance . . . I'd bet a good shift kit, torque convertion and new program for the ECM would put mine in the 13s as it stands now . . .

Allmotor with his latest turbo set up might be in the 11s with some tractions.

you wont need NOS on your car if you have tUrbo in your car that is built by al _motor because the turbo that he will put in your car wil be the exact same setup as his. Tranny is an important issue. I talked to All_motor about turboing my car and he suggest strongly to reinforce the tranny if I want to go turbo. with the turbo, I think 12 is attainable. Also I was talking to type R. You can always have 3.5L conversion along with a Sc or a TC. that will definitely put you in the 12 range. He is running low 13's and with a turbo or an SC. Your TL or TLS will FLY. But once again TRANNY and others have pointed out torque converter and slicks are needed to put down that much power.

No until i get my hands on 10g's $8000 for the turbo and $2000 for the tranny. But until then, my car wont be the fastest but it will be the most different outta every one here well maybe next to njzprettyboy.

why waste 10gs on a TL to make it fast, while u can get a beater car and make it 10 times faster then a TL would be with that money?
I mean I hooked up my TL to make it a bit quick , just for a lil fun, but if i actually wanted the kind of speed u guys are talking about I would go get a 240 or a lil civic hatchback.

After I get my 550's permanently installed and my upgraded fuel system I'll post some #'s. I actually had it runnin right for a few seconds today, when I was testing the system. 0 to 80 mph came very fast. It was lean though, hence the need for about $700 in fuel system upgrades . The Comptech pump just won't flow enough fuel

No matter how fast your TL(second generation) goes...it will be nothing compared to a manual CL-S Turbo-charged. If you really want to go thru this setup...your going to the wrong route...I mean yes...its something no1 has seen...but if you are looking for great speed, then the TL is the wrong car to hook up.

Let me know what car you are talking about that is 10 times faster then the TL after I drop another 10 g's I mean. let round up and say I get the turbo and reinforce tranny and the total comes out to $40,000 let me know another sedan that can run 12's all day everyday. I dont see it as WASTING 10 g's . Hwy people sepnt thousand of dollars puttin lambo doors on car that their door ALREADY open. Why people. I rather spend it on something that I can show for like a CUSTOME turbo. Considering the Sc is about $5000-$6000 install. Another 2-3 More you can have CUSTOM turbo. I dont think its THAT bad. Thats jsut me tho. I guess people are different

I guess you are referring to me. I never said I am comparing my car to CL. Just because the TL is an auto doesnt mean there is going to be a BIG difference if the setup are the same. I really dont understand why people are thinkin that TL are the wrong car to hook up. its a luxury sedan that has potential. to be a 12 second car. I dont know. People have different opinions you know, i think a TL is WORTH hooking. Let me know WHY i am going the wrong route or that the TL is the wrong car to hook up. Just stating it doent really make me convienced

I think SCTL-SS said 65 to 100 mph is about 3 seconds. That's pretty fast for a TL. It's not the wrong car to hook up if you want a sleeper.

It all bases down to what u want, if u just want the speed and dont really care about anything else, then those were the people i was referring to when i said u can do alot more faster then a TL with 10gs (including the car).

"let me know another sedan that can run 12's all day everyday. "
Obviously my reply earlier did not refer to you, since you are trying to be the fastest TL or fastest sedan or what not.
You put 10gs into a 89 240sx and u'll be smoking vipers, u dont even need 10gs, u can do it for less, i know because ive seen it done, one of my best friend has a lil EG civic hatchback with a ITR motor, bolt ons and v-afc, just with that little bit done its easily hitting low 13s, with how much money put into the car? performance wise only about 3500. put the 6500 that u have left over and u got ur self a living beast, remember that car is still running NA, and can still get into 12s with just skunk 2 stage 2 cams. Just think about what it can do with a turbo or nitrous(not NOS, NOS is a brand ).
