fast BMW

i never race...
but a BMW 330 M series...convertible..
pulled up next to me..
at a stop light.
had my windows down, w/pearl jam playing loud..
he revved up when the opposing light yellowed..
so off we went.
that car just took off.
i mean..it was really fast.
i mean really fast..
when he got into second gear...the thing just took off.
i could tell it was a manual..
i didn't want to beat my car...so after second gear..i just returned to Joe Commuter..
but those things are fast.
damn Germans.

yea the M3 are insane...one highbeamed me on freeway a while back, and within 2 seconds of us both flooring it, he was off and away. Wut u expect from 333hp?

he wasnt talking about the m3.. there is a performance package u can get for the 330... im not sure what it has but doesnt seem to make the car much faster... i wouldnt waste my time with a new m3... cuase i know ill get rocked. i will go after the old ones cause we can take those out...

Vettes for Lunch? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Maybe an auto vette off a roll. I ran my Cousin in my LS1 trans am 3 times, from a 40 mph roll i couldnt get first so he walked on me, from a 70 roll, i got the top of second and had him at my rear fender till 120 ish. Off the line a stalled till about 1800 rpms and dropped the hammer, he jumped out of the hole by a half a car, by the end of first i started pulling hard, by the time we shut down, i was doing about 100 and had a car length on him. He has b+b triflow, i have a lid, we are both pretty much stock. Killing vettes, maybe the driver beating another driver, but not the car beating the car.

And where the heck are you going to unleash all those horses without getting arrested?
What waste of money that would be to have all those ponies and not really using the car to its full potential? And aren’t all German cars speed governed to 150 MPH?
Meaning once you hit 150, our TL’s will eventually go past you.

Flyin' and Drivin'
I was driving a 99 750il (V12) and the bitch would only do 135. I think there is a limiter that the driver sets through the computer though. I'm not sure. My TL has been up to 155mph though. I have a cop as a witness too!!!

Once again, you must have the most aerodynamic TL going down hill with a back wind to go over 150. I have been there and done that with my TL and my boys Type S and we never hit over 147

The governor on the bimmers is 155MPH, which using the Dinan or PowerChips software will turn that off real damn fast.... I’ve gone 161 in the M5.

Well, yeah, you compare an LS1 to an M3, the LS1 just has more racing power... But standard issue vette (depending on the driver of cource) can get eaten by an M3 or M5... The Z06 is only a smidge faster than the M's...

I had my buddies M5 for the day today, and he had the TL... He slipped me some cash to detail the inside cause he hates conditioning all the leather, cause the M5's interior is ALL leather... every panel, every thing.
M3 is a baby M5

Anyway, heres some interesting info on the M3....
Perfect 50/50 weight differential. You could balance the thing on a triangle.
6 butterflies (not throttle bodies) attached to the single throttle body to allow a .08 second response time between throttle movement and engine response. (M5 has 7 eheheh)
most horsepower-per-liter BMW has ever produced (100 per liter)
First to use the Sequential Manual Gearbox, which actually bombed to most peoples surprise because of its difficulty to use on normal commuter basis, which is why they now have SMGII

I'm pretty sure it was the first BMW to use VANOS II, the second revision of BMW's variable valve timing... Someone correct me if im wrong on that one...
The M3 is a great car, but i dont like coupes anymore, and i always fucking HATED the interior of the 3 series... Im a huge E39 and E60 guy, and im really starting to like the E65 (E39 = '98-'03 5 series, E60 = 2002 and up 7 series, E65 = the new 5)...
Its really a damn shame they have been having problems with the M3... Normal drivers never see a glitch, but if you really pound on the car, BMW has had to replace a few motors under warranty because of it... I dont remember the exact technical reason...
