Cool Experienced the TYPE S difference

I was at the chicago meet yesterday, and got a chance to experience the HP difference between my TLP and a Type s first hand! I drove along in a dudes CL-S(intake only) and WOW!!:wow: While it has the same punch as my car below 3,000 rpms, once we reach 3,000 to 7,000rpms, it is a different story!! That extra punch is definitely there, and very welcome! It felt mustang like, and this is with 2 passengers in the car!!

I definitely miss 2 things from going to the meet:

1. NAVI---> stupid me!

2. TYPE S!

Oh well, I still love and appreciate my baby, just thought I'd share the story!

P/S: The meet was ambushed by vettes! I also was driven around in a modded C5 that runs 11.8!! The pull in first gear in that car was down right rude! ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL acceleration! The force with which I was pushed to the seat, completely took my breath away.

How was the meet up there in Schaumburg? I wanted to go but the girl didn't want to and wouldn't let me go so we ended up going to her friend's party ... rather would've been to the meet. I'm new to this TL forum, just got my TLS and I really wanted to go to the meet... hey, also, do you know how to clear my headlights as well? I'm looking for someone in Chicago land area to help me as well. Thx,

All it took was a test drive to change your tone huh? I remembered when you were such a noob going off on why anyone would even want a TLS...not alone the NAV.

"Why do you need the extra HP when we have Grade Logic."

Remember that? LOL.

I was always under the impression that you test drove both cars prior to purchase.

I really hope this meet shed some light on why it is important to make friends online...or anywhere for that matter.

thank U for memorizing everything I have ever written online If I remeber correctly I was trying to argue about how we TLP owners shouldn't run and hide, in a post that was being high jacked by ego-laden, TLS owners! I wonder what U own? I won't be surprised if you didn't even own an acura, let alone a TL. Just answer this one question: WHY are you being a jackass?

edga, how come the Type S guys I met at the meet weren't as nasty as U? when I asked them about the difference, they were more than willing to take me on a ride and floor it for me to see! One thing to keep in mind, while trying to keep your almighty TYPE S ego in check, is that our WEAK ASS tranny has enough trouble with 225hp, so in that sense, I guess I don't envy the 260HP Gods

Simple. Because you were rude. Happy? It bothers me to see a once great site horded by arrogant noobs like yourself. I was merely defending a senior member when you all of a sudden blew up and lost the point of my original post. Be nice...plain and simple. If you don't have anything constructive or positive to say...then keep it shut.

Prior to the original debate, your posts were mostly negative in nature. Your thread was filled with soo much trash that not only did the mods lock it..but they deleted it. Again, if I remember correctly, you should of already gotten a warning.

Now...stay focused. I could care less about the TL vs the TLS debate.

Run and hide from what? Perhaps your vision of reality is somewhat skewed because this site was originally built for the TLP. In fact the owners and most of the moderators own TL-Ps. I don't understand what you are saying about running and hiding.

This was my POINT EXACTLY! If you were nasty to everyone you meet...online or in person, do you think you would of gotten that ride in the first place?

Thank god your thread got deleted before I start cutting and pasting to embarrass your ass. Who was the one calling people here loosers for "wanting to get to know people on-line" and wanting to arrange meets and crap.

YOU obviously benefitted from this site.
YOU obviously met people in result of this site.

Yet you still refuse to admit to the fact that without those very same people...this site is nothing. I could care less about the TLS this and that dabate. That is NOT what I'm about!

Should I act like I own a kia or something? What the FU(k do you mean by "once great site"? like your one of our founding fathers or something? please get over yourself, its getting old!.

YOU SHUT UP *******! check all my posts!! all very constructive and positive! I never post foolish flamebates, like 1sicklex does, now do I? What warning should I have gotten? I hope you are not mixing zoloft with meth again are U? I have never, ever recieved a warning from anyone at these boards!

Your the #1 reason why we should increase awareness of illiteracy in todays youth! Let me explain it for you better: I'm not going to stand back and let some JACKASS belittle me because they have a type s badge on their accord, ok! Thats why I lashed out in the first place. Too bad you were offended by what I wrote, because guess what? I'm not offering any appologies.:thefinger:

Straight out retard. That is what you are. I have had enough of you. I WAS trying to hold back the name calling but your dumb ass REFUSES to see that my WHOLE BEEF WITH YOU in the first place was because I was backing someone else up. All I said back then was lay off! Now look at you? I spit on your ass if I could.

I'm not mixing you up with anybody. You were a assh*le then as you are now who can't rely on ANYTHING but name caling.

So what if you drive a TL? You think you are a "BIG BALLER" now? PLEEASE Damn you're a funny little boy. Get off your high horse before you fall on your ass again.

First of all, learn how to spell, and properly use grammar. It is not "you were a assh*le then...." its: "You were AN assh*le then...". Also its "name CALLING..." not: "name caling..". Second of all, that FAG comment really got your juices flowing huh? well, I must have hit on a soft spot there, but oh well.

That "person" you were backing up has a brain too, just like everyone else, and can certainly defend his own opinions, but anyway, you would know a thing or too about guy's backs, since thats all you see!

wrongo bean dip, I think your insitance on me being this young boy, typing on the internet shows two things:

1. you are going through a midlife crisis

2. You are a GAY WHITE MALE(GWM) looking for some butt.

either way, I'm not interested in your dilema. Once again, what do you drive? a TLS? if so, get some f'n self esteem man, your embarrassing me:o

Like most of your "other so called posts" This thread has turned to ****. Good luck out in the real world boy. For a 20 year old you sure sound like you know everything. :smokin:

I bet u too have a TLP! how ironic! well as for your test drive comment, I went into the showroom looking for some luxury!! I can't justify dropping 30g's on a car and feeling every little road imperfection, in the so called I-need-a-chiropractor---->sport tunned suspension . So when I decided on the TL, in the showroom, the salesman approaced and explained that they had the TLP and TLS, and that the tls had stiffer springs, and more horsepower. I immediately told him to forget the type s and lets see how good the TLP's power is. I then proceded to test drive the TLP and didn't want to get out of the car! I then bought it, and fast forward to a few weeks later, I came across a thread where a dude asks a simple question about acceleration difference, and next thing u know the post is highjacked by TLS owners who acted like our cars were slouches!. I then got into the arguement, and started slamming, the speed, and navi, when u came along, read my posts, butt you head in, and caught a few flames for yourself.

Cool

Ok, this is the part where someone tells you two graduates to start disarming your nukes... this thread is declared a draw!

And, I think I'm going to send both of you back to your English classes to work on a few spellin' issues!

I think you both understand each other's point... so it's time to "back away from the keyboard."

Later,

V.

You know what...after reading your last post I was going to drop it. Made sense to me...but after this one...f*ck...I'll believe it when I see it. The internet can be a b*tch...everyone going around pretending. MAGNA CUM LAUDE my ass...show me in person..that way I can b*tch slap you when I see you.

Now...putting that aside let's lower testosterone levels a bit.

When I first saw you I looked into all the previous threads you participated in before butting in. Unlike others...I just dont go mouthing off to anyone that didn't agree with me. Well...guess what...NOT ONE single usefull thread...so to me...you were a troll. I don't normally go around attacking people's integrity, but when someone like yourself that goes around prancing like this is their home turf calling people names and crap...that just f*cking gets me upset...noobie or not. All your guesses about me was wrong. You didn't do ANY research before you lit up the torch. I considered that a bigg no no on your part. Fine...you may be right...I AM a nobody, so in that instance you were safe...but what if you did that to someone else? Of course you don't care right? Because ATL members are all "fags" to begin with. So who gives a f*ck if you get certain members upset.

I don't appreciate the content and the tone of any of your remarks, and you always seem to dodge the OVER ALL topic while hiding behind word games poking at people intellegence through corrective grammar. Anyone who's been here for more than 6 months know who I am, yet within the 1.5 years I've belonged on this board NOT once have I seen a hot headed individual like yourself that just plains REFUSES to look at logic.

I've attempted to approach this by simulating what it would be like in your shoes...yet NOT once have I seen a hint of it in return (well...maybe the 2nd to last remark). All your comments to me are derogatory, involving tangent remarks about sexuality, age and gender. Yet my message still remains the same...EYE FOR A F*CKING EYE ASSH*LE!

All I'm saying is GIVE RESPECT AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE IT IN RETURN! Don't expect to get it right away when you yourself don't even give it. Unlike other generic message boards...some day you MIGHT meet these people (like you have already) and some day THESE very same people will help you, without EXPECTING ANYTHING IN RETURN BUT GRATITUDE. Where the f*ck can you get that nowadays? (tell me and I'll F*CKING move there)

So tell me torqueaholic. Why are you really here? I've answered your single question...so answer mine. You haven't bought anything to help support this site. You haven't posted any usefull threads that can benefit members later on, you haven't posted ANY pics to personalize yourself, and to top it all off you have an attitude on almost every post! Don't tell me you just expect to come around and give a lil tid bit on how you like to "finger" your seats and run around RSX's all day and expect everyone to be your friend do you? The very least I ask is for you to TRY to see it from my perspective...from anyone else's perspective for that matter. Members have come and go, but just because you own a certain car doesnt automatically affiliate you with anything. Last I remember, I had an impression that you thought everyone here were "FAGS" for wanting to know people online and crap. So tell me...how would you see yourself then?

Yes my memory about you was good (trollish if anything). You left me a solid impression that you were some random guy...who *could of afforded a TLS but didnt want one...yet felt the need to always defend himself. OK...so what I thought...leave the man alone....but when the sh*t starts to fly, you can't seem to get out of the dumb ass corner about how my car this and that and to top it all off EVERY F*CKING remark has to be gay this..white that...middle age this. WTF iS YOUR PROBLEM! My point was that you shouldnt go around being all badass and sh*t just because you drive a certain type of car. I could care less if you were a senior member...I would of still thrown sh*t on you.

YEAH I remember you. I remember you good. You were the TLS/NAV/ATL hater...but all it took was a test drive from a "friendly" board member to change your tone. I F*CKING CONSIDERED THAT A BEAM OF LIGHT ON YOUR ASS! JESUS F*CKING CRIST I thought to myself. SEE how far gratitude can go? You...

#1 hated the TLS but love it now.
#2 Actually recognized the use of a NAV.
#3 Met people from ONLINE! woot!

This was an achievement in MY book! Yet...nooo.....its edgalang vs torqueaholic round 2! God I swear you are like a b*tch...going in circles over and over. Get your d*ck sucked by your girl or something. You sound like you need it.

If you ever need reference of my ride look no further.

Knock it off guys. BOTH OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!! Torque you have been warned in the past, and those warnings wont go on forever. The warning was in a thread and not PM or email as those functions were disabled at the time.

Its funny seeing this post though because I too remember all those posts slamming the Type-S, the navi, basically anything you didnt have on your ride, not to mention TL-S owners when in the end its apparent you never even drove the car back then. Very interesting indeed.

Another interesting tidbit, in your profile, your Birthday is listed as April 18, 1979. Given the fact that April has since passed, that would make you 23, not 22 as you state. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm makes one wonder about all the other stuff now doesn't it?

No matter though, as I said before to both of you; KNOCK IT OFF, take it to PM or email as this whole thread is completely shot.

you know, I don't want to make you feel too bad because you are the moderator and all, but sorry dude your VERY WRONG!! DO THE MATH!! I WAS born on April 18 1979, and If I can read my calender correctly, TODAY IS the 6th of AUGUST 2002!! THAT makes me 22 years old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 22 22 22 22 22 22 22 22 22 22. Now that I've corrected your math error, do you want me to pick apart your grammar??

Its kind of funny how you seemed to ignore all the stuff that occured in the post before I made my comments! Your just pissed because you have a TLS yourself! OH, and please stop threatning me with bannings and crap, because I've been a loyal memeber to this forum. I've defended this forum, and our car to the fullest. However, if you want to be a big bully, and kick my ass out, then DO YOUR WORST.

HAHAHAHAHAHA. The hole you're digging yourself just gets deeper and deeper; lie after lie.

You want to pick apart my grammar??????? Is that your best comeback??? Grammar????? Go ahead, but perhaps you should critique your own grammar first. The best part is you were still editing that post 10 minutes after posting it, and that's still what you posted.

"your VERY WRONG"????????

Try "You are", or "You're very wrong." BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

This gets even better. In regards to mathematical skills; yours and mine, lets use the simple method first. April 18th, and YOUR birthday have already passed in 2002, so we can just subtract the years. 2002-1979= drumroll please........................23, 23, 23, 23, 23, 23, 23!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

You still dont get it???? Let me break this down for you professor Torqueaholic
.
You CLAIM you were born on April 18th, 1979. You weren't 1 when you were born, so.........
on the same date in 1980 you turned 1.

and since April has passed according to my calendar this year, on April 18th in 2002 you're 23. 23. 23. 23. 23. 23. 23. 23. 23. 23. 23. 23. 23. 23. {I have no clue what calendar you are using}

If YOU'RE having any trouble with all this, just grab any 10 year old. He should be able to help you out with both methods. You can even borrow his "little piggies" to help you count as an added bonus.

Magna Cum Laude????????????

Class dismissed.

P.S. Thanx for the laugh, I needed that one. Unfortunately for you, it was at your expense.

P.P.S. I took the liberty of highlighting, and adding in wherever I could the words "your" and "you're" since you are such a stickler for grammar. I am not, but since you are I hope this helps.

Actually, he's been a very good member on this board. You, on the other hand, are proving to be a problem child.

And before you think about more name calling:

a. I'm not white
b. I'm not gay (not that there's anything wrong with that...)
c. I DO drive a TL-S
d. I'm almost double your age
e. I graduated from UCLA in '84
f. I've met edgalang AND his girlfriend (whom I plan to steal from him )
g. I'm glad you got a chance to experience the "Type-S"
h. I'm not flaming you... just hoping you'll calm down and listen to others.

Later,

V.
