Expected release of 2003 TL and MSRP?
I spoke with my dealer last wed and he said they are supposed to be out in feb this year. I wanted to trade my 01 for an 02 and he said wait till feb and get an 03. He didnt know prices but he said it should be around the same, maybe a few dollars more.
What really sucks about the advanced model years is unfortunately it hurts you when it comes time to sell or trade in your vehicle. Why? Because it looks like you have higher mileage on your vehicle than you do. I bought my '02 TL-S in May 2001. I drive about 20,000 miles a year. If I decided in May 2003 to trade in my car, all of the Blue Book prices and dealers would show my car as being one year old (selling a 2002 model in 2003). But I would have 40,000 miles on it because I actually had it for two full years. But to the prospective new buyer, it looks like I put 40,000 miles on in one year. You take a big hit in price for that kind of "excessive" mileage. Those buying '02s in 2002 won't have this problem. And if you can somehow manage to buy your leftover '02 in 2003 you're ahead of the game.
