Question Exhaust Resonator

Has anyone removed their exhaust resonator? how much louder does it make it? and how much would that cost?

Yeah, I was wondering the same. I have the HKS exhaust and I want to experiment removing the small exhaust resonator.

But was wondering:

1) How that would sound like? How much louder I guess what I'm trying to say, but I don't want it too loud to wake up the neighborhood.
2) How is the process of removing the small exhaust resonator done? You cut a pipe and you weld on a thinner pipe, or how does it go again? Confused...

i have both removed.(im running the comptechs and also have the quiet tip inserts for when i want it quieter) if you have the factory exhaust i would recomend removing both. if you are running an aftermarket exhaust, you may want to expeiriment by removing 1 at a time to see the sound and weather or not you like it.
to have them removed you just have the one you want cut out and a new piece of pipe (same size) welded in place. if you have both removed you would more than likely have a bigger section with the bends in it made up (1 piece) i had that done at the shop for 20 bucks and i welded it in myself.

Thanks. Your CT exhaust sounds awesome.

Dang the process seems arduous. What will happen, say for example, by removing the small exhaust resonator I don't like the sound because it's too loud? Would the shop be able to replace the original pipe to produce back the original sound?
