It depends if it's highway or city driving.

For highway, I got up to 400 miles on a full tank.

For city, I got anywere between 240-280 miles.

I use to get higher mileage, but with the wider, sticking tires cuts that back some! 19-20 in town, 26-27 on the Hiway

Haven't taken a long trip in the TL-S lately, but the last 2 times I did, I got 33.3 MPG and 32.9 MPG. In the city, I have usually gotten around 20 or 21 MPG.

I get about 19-21 MPG typical.

Mmm, gotta love the bell curve on the poll results. It looks like 24 MPG is the norm.

i noticed that before you have your first oil change the gas mileage is really really bad. i had my first oil change at around 6.5k miles, and before that i probably got 17mpg or so. now after the oil change i can easily get 25mpg on normal city/freeway driving.

My magic jump is after 15,000 miles. I think the engine and the parts got the groove. It jump from 18 mpg to 24.6 mpg. Coincidently I switch brands from Conoco to QuickTrip.

1. 22 to 23 C is 71 to 73 F. Ouch that is HOT. I keep it at 67F (20C). I don't think changing the temperature by a few degrees will realistically affect you mileage.

2. Yes you can go >400 miles on a tank. My max was 425 when the 'empty' light comes on. My speed was 60mph from KC to St. Louis. no I don't go this slow, it was one rainy weekend at I-70 and you couldn't go faster than 60 if you tried

3. Leave your lead foot at home.

did you guys notice the 13MPG? Thats when my sister borrowed my car for 3 days When I mentioned it to her, she started to laugh and told me she almost flipped it over taking a turn real fast but it is a blast to take off in. (she drives a IS300). Mind you I drive fast, I can't magine what she did when she borrowed my modified Mustang 5.0 5spd

Glad I never told her of the N2O in the 5.0

~260-280 before light comes on. I wish I could get 350 per tank like my other vehicles. I always seem to be filling up.

better mileage

16.5-17 MPG Average around town, including up & down the hills where we live.

On long trips, winter or summer, with cruise set at 70, the 2001 TL gets 33 MPG. Boosting speed to 80 on cruise drops mileage to 30.

I feed it premium, and carefully set tires to 33.5 psi, cold, front & rear.

My best estimate (using freeway check points) is that odometer is 2 - 2.5% fast, so the above figures shud be reduced by that percentage. When new tires are needed, I will try to bump up to 215-60-16s vs the stock 205s. That shud cancel out the odometer error.

I've been averaging 23 mpg since I've owned the car (mixed driving). Just filled up and got 16.1mpg. You can tell it's winter time and I use the remote start to warm up the car. All that extra idling adds up.

Tuff Gong and Acura3200...
How in the hell did you get numbers down to the 1/1000 of a mile per gallon?! And why do you have the mileage from every fill up? Do you have some sort of program that records it automatically?

On a side note, I live in New York City, a tough place to get good mileage. When I first got the car I thought the mileage was absolutely horrible, but now I'm in the 19-20mpg range. That may have to do with my first oil change or just the fact that my TL-S is finally getting its act together!

Exactly I made a quick spreadsheet in Excel. I just enter the gallons, mileage and other un-essential stuff and like $$ and date. It get the total $$$'s spent, a little graph and I put in a oil change log.

If you want I can e-mail the attachment to ya

With just under 9000 miles, I've consistently averaged between 24 and 26 mpg. Never been less than 21. Had two tanks average over 30 (all interstate at 75+mph). I'm quite happy with what I'm getting.
