didnt buy it. the boys at my dealership gave it to me. i did some work for one of them, so he gave me this one day to even it up. he said someone ordered a front and back power painted cover, but the place sent 2 fronts, so they sent a rear without asking for the front back. so they had this one laying around, so he just gave it to me.

Darkshear,

How did you pull the cover off? I tried taking off mine to do the same thing and gave up trying to get it off.

Ha! i was just about to give up, had the same problem you had. Then i discovered that there is 1 damn bolt hiding under the intake manifold.

yep, i had to take all 10 bolds out and remove the f-ing intake manifold... no biggie, didnt have to disconnect the airbox or anything, it gave me just enough play to get to the bolt... if you look in the pics you can see the manifold is crooked

Why does that valve cover have those 6 tube's on top and mine has a flat cover? Is that what the TLS has or is it aftermarket?

The 99 TL had a different intake manifold. They changed it for the 2000 model year.
