i am replacing the evap canister.

can someone tell me if there is gas in these lines near the evap canister.

i'm thinking they would be just fumes.

i want to make sure that gas won't come running out when i disconnect these lines to the cansiter.

has anyone on this board replaced the evap cansiter?.

Sound like you are replacing the Reciever/Drier. Why are you replacing that anyways? Is moisture getting into the system? The Reciever/Drier is Liquid filled located on the high side of the ac system. You cant replace that untill you have recover the refrigerant from the lines. ie: get the freon takin out of the whole ac unit.

i replaced the 3 things.
so far no CEL.
there is a shoebox size canister right under the driver rear passenger.
i replaced that.
and some kind of electronic valve attached to the canister, and also a smaller canister that
also connects to the larger canister.
when i disconnected the first line...i could hear the gas tank bubble.
like i released some pressure.
but there was no fuel in these lines.
mostly gas vapors.

it's so nice driving without the CEL light on.
