So I was poking around on the rock auto newsletter and they seemed to be promoting these ETE reman transmissions. They claim the innards are to OEM specs but out perform. Does anyone have one of these trannys that can vouch for it??

Swap the trans for the ACCORD V6 2006 or 2007 5 speed transmission.. Is almost a bolt-on, cheaper, and true fix to our POS trans.. Dont rebuild yours unless you want to rebuild it again in some years..

Accord V6 trans is the proper fix, and it's cheaper too.

If you replace with an Accord V6 trans, does it still have (or retain) the "grade logic" feature the Acura trans has??? Because that's great feature and makes having an auto almost OK....

I would completely avoid any rebuild or remanufacture. The only fix that I know of in terms of a rebuild is to drill a hole from line charger to converter charge on the main pressure regulator valve circuit.

And that only stops the torque converter from over heating. It won't stop the valves from getting stuck in their bores (another common problem with these transmissions) as well as the other problems these transmissions have been known to have.
