The EPINNION article call our sound systems "sub par"
#2
I have an '02 GMC Envoy with the Bose system and an '03 TL-S. The Envoy is much better sounding than the TL Bose sytem. I was very disappointed in the TL sound system. It has no dynamic range. Songs that sound great in the Envoy I don't even enjoy in the Acura. I spend more time listening to talk radio.
The '04 TL system is excellent, especially with the DVD Audio. I didn't think it sounded that much better than my Envoy system when playing CDs. I've had Alpine systems in the past that sounded better, but the multi channel DVD Audio really helps add another dimension to the sound.

It is a fair opinion. The Bose system in the TL sucks. If you ever get a chance to listen to your favorite music on a good sound system you should notice a big difference. I am trying to convince my dad to get the Mark Levinson audio in the Lexus he is interested in. Sounds way better than Bose. If you want the best you have to go aftermarket with an Alpine deck and some JL audio amp, speakers and sub.

I think it sounds pretty good. All I listen to is classical and acoustic stuff, and it sounds fantastic. I admit though, with hard rock and pop it is a little below average.
Plus none of my friends have incredible systems so I don't anything to compare except my old Oldsmobile's busted cassette deck.
