In the last several weeks my 99 tl has cut out while driving 3 times. It would start right up again with no problem and I had experienced no missing or other warning. The dealer said "maybe bad gas, or summer formulation of the gas", but found nothing wrong with the car. I did got gas at several different places.
Coincidently, my gas milage has improved dramatically, around 25%. Could this be a leaner setting? I love the mileage but hate like hell to have it cut out on the highway.

 

SOunds like a faulty ignition. Did you ever have it replaced under the recall?

 

When was the recall? I get dealer service and have owned the car for 3.5 years.

Register at acura.com for owners link. It will tell you if any of the recalls have been performed (even those who have had it replaced have had to replace it a 2nd time) Have your Vin handy when doing so.

 

This happened to me before on my 94 Accord. It would cut out on the highway, very scary the first time. They had to replace some $50 module and it worked again.
