Engine Cover DIY!
Thanks for the input... I just took some picks of different parts of the engine bay with my Iphone and was looking at what else I can do. I showed them to some of my co workers and they said the same thing, match it to the interior of the car.
I wish my engine looked like rockstar21's I would paint the middle to, the part that looks like manifold pipes, I would match the colour too.just the pipes and the other parts black.

I only painted the large section of my engine cover and that took me hours to get it taped off right.
IMO panting the whole thing red would have looked bad and kinda cheap plus about 20 people have that done already so I went with a two tone black and red to match the small section of the cover

So all they supply is auto paint & supplies.
It was expensive @ $25 a can.

You can find it online for sure but I personally like to do these things in person.
But I wanted it color matched so I opted for it.
Here is what I used...
if not... the world may never know
Not knocking you at all... just since this is a DIY thread I figure I'd mention that an aerosol can of automotive paint in any color (You usually just need to provide them w/ your paint code) is about $15 -- just search online.
I think it makes a big difference (personally) as well as if you like to show off your car, whether if it's at a meet or a car show. Having mismatched pieces is, meh.

My friend told me about this site.
Never used it though but they have LGM.
http://www.paintscratch.com/
You can have them mix that up in a spray can.
Start looking for an automobile paint supply store.
I got mine mixed in house with my paint color code.

I recommend to two engine covers.
Do you have a Comptech Icebox?
If so...you could paint that.
Also, if you have a battery cover you could paint that as well.
Sometimes painting everything is overkill for me so I just went with the engine covers.
As you can see here...this is what it looks like with the other miscellaneous pieces painted.

hey guys, I have a '00 nbp and i was thinking of painting the break calipers and because i'm weird I really like a neon greenish color, do you think the engine cover would look good with such a color as well? or should I scrap it all and go with red or blue??
If you like it I say go ahead. I didnt know theres those weird color paint for calipers? remember to get the good paint.
I had to stop and ask him and he told me he got the G2 high temp brake paint. he also used the left overs (and lots of clear coat) to paint his engine cover and what not and it looked phenomenal (IMO)
