Emissions

I installed my 5zigen exhaust a while ago and I was wondering if it will pass emissions test in Virginia. I was just thinking about it now and I was getting worried. Thanks

Like Jens said, any exhaust setup installed downstream of the cat shouldn't affect emissions output. Whether said hardware will pass visual inspection--I imagine that would vary from state to state. I do know that in California, if you buy a new car you get a 5-year smog exemption (I would guess there are some exceptions to this but for the majority of the new cars out there, such wouldn't be the case). What this means that you don't have to worry about whether or not your car will pass smog for 5 years (no smog tests or smog certificates to send off), so if you feel like doing all kinds of mods that will in most likelyhood fail a smog test, you're free to do so, assuming you don't do something that would attract a cop's attention.

Of course, you gotta be prepared to bring it back to emission specs after the exemption expires or if you plan on selling it before the 5 years are up.
