Where is the emergency trunk release i cant seem to find it through the backseat passage way? does my 2000 TL not have one?

Can somebody take a picture of it for me?

 

should be there.. dont have my TL anymore.. but if you reach directly up through the armrest hole, it should be a flimsy plastic T shaped tab if i remember correctly...

once you reach through the opening.. go towards the back of the trunk a few inches and start feeling up top. it should be there..

 

thats it exactly- open the doorway, look for t handle

I thought it was like a glow in the dark green handle. I thought i saw one of those before on a buddy's type s and i was all like wtf i dont have one of those lol. I found it, anyways. It was a black T rubber feeling handle. It was just so camouflage to me. I also couldn't access it because i have an amp basically blocking the whole passageway except the lower part theres a small opening. I didnt want my trunk actuator to go out and be just totally screwed lol. I just tied a string around it and left it dangling so i can access it easier in case i need to!

it was made early in the days of adding a `self rescue device` to the trunk--so kids dont lock themself inside for a week and stink up your car~

At the time, good glow stuff may not have been available or there was not a govt requirement for that coloring

companies and the govt couldnt agree what the handle should look like!!- a door release, a t handle, a pull ball--what would kids recognize as a way to open the door?

if new cars have a bright glowing whatever-- far out man!!
