Post Electrical Question

An electrical helm manual would be useful for this question, I think.

I want to replace my factory alarm LED in the door. Can you tell me the specs on it?

Do you think I could replace it with an LED that works between 2.6v and +12v flashing? On current = 15ma. It has 2 wires: ground, constant 12v, and LED Output from alarm.

Thanks!

Damn, I'll have to wait until tomorrow to try that out.

Ya know, I ordered 3 thinking 2 for each door and one for the dash... now that I look, the passenger side door doens't have a damn LED! LOL... any bright ideas as to what I could do with the other LED?
http://www.varad.com They got some neat stuff, though most of it belongs on a Civic.

I do have an idea as a matter of fact. Put the LED up behind the rearview mirror pointing down at the console to light it up at night Like in a BMW

Where (and how) would you route the wire to the rearview mirror?

Tuck it up in the headliner...route the wire up the back of the rearview and right into the crease between the window and the headliner! simple!

Sounds interesting... where would I hook the rearview LED up?

Hey I have those Varad SuperBright Blue LEDs for my Clifford IG9000 alarm. I left the red stock LED in the driver's door (it only comes on now if I lock the door manually and the stereo LED still comes on) and put a Blue LED on each door on those plastic triangles inside of the mirrors, facing straight back. The whole window and door trim. Looks cool and noticable but not overly....

Hmm... I for sure want to change out the red LED I have in my dash (its in the blank little button panel next to Cruise and TCS). I have 3... I could leave the door LED and do 2 like you're talking about TL Daddy... my stock alarm is armed by my aftermarket alarm so my red LED is always on... damn, I'll have to think about this.
