Electrical Help...

So I installed my Illuminated Door Sills today, from groupbuy. After I installed everything the small black lil box(ballast?) started making a humming/buzzing sound, actually all four of them make that noise. I recently did the Door Handle LED DIY, so I'm getting power from the rear door. How can I eliminate the buzzing sound? or at least silence it a little? Thx.

unfortunately you can't stop them from buzzing. transformers and inductors hum, it's just an annoying little fact of electricity. depending on how hot they get you could wrap them with some acoustic foam or something though.

is there an issue if you wrap them up in electrical tape, and I mean REALLY wrap them up!!! Can they overheat, and cause a fire?

I wouldnt wrap them. Id just mount them some place where you wont be able to hear them as well.
