HOLY SMAKERAL!!!!

What a bummer. Do not accept anything other than a new car.
Hope you insurance company helps you out, as the dealers insurance should be the one to cover it.

Hopefully you did not add any radar detector or phone wiring!

Damn, shocking pictures!!!!!

Maybe it's time to go fot that "sprinkler" mod!! (Hey Snook!)

Good luck getting the dealer's insurance to cover it. I got my Accord hailed on while sitting in the dealer's lot and their insurance won't pay a dime, but mine did.

That's stone cold about your Accord. I had a friend that bought a 2000 Mitsubishi Montero. About 5 minutes after she had driven it off the lot, there was a hail storm and her car sustained about $8,000 worth of body damage. The sales guy felt so bad that he offered her and her husband to come back with the car and they would knock off thousands off the sticker price and sell it to them as a "hail damaged' vehicle. He could do that since several of the cars on their lot had received hail damage. THAT is a good customer relations dealership.

I guess it's way too late to argue over the Accord....but IF there ever is a next time, know that the dealership can offer you MORE.

Yeah, I got $250 from the insurance company (after my $500 deductible) to cover the loss, which went straight into my savings account. I then drove the Accord to the Acura dealership and traded it in for above blue book price. Now I drive an 02 TLS. Fair dinkum!

I will keep you posted on what happens and what the cause was.

Thanks

Well, I think the NSX would be a longshot, but they should be giving you a TL, RL, or MDX as a loaner. I'd press that issue very stiffly with them, along with the total replacement. I'd be extremely pressing. I'm betting it was something the dealer did, like wire the fuse open or something and it probably caused a short.

If it was me, I'd put the rental question to rest, I'd go by there and if they have the car on the lot, then I'd talk to the dealership and tell them that you want the car, you won't accept your car back, make it happen... If they don't, call Acura Service from right there and tell them the situtation...
