Electric kink at WOT?

Electric kink at WOT?
Ever since I received tranny #3, when I floor the gas pedal my radar detector resets itself. This makes me think that there is a voltage drop somewhere caused by WOT. Am I thinking right?

It is plugged into the cigarette lighter thingie near the coin tray thingie.
