Question egr valve codes

my cars keeps pulling codes for a problem with my egr valve. i was wondering if i could just clean it or i would have to replace it and if so how much would it cost. Also, is it easy to do or would it be best to take it to the dealership.

Do a search on cleaning it, clean it to see if that fixes it, see if the codes reappear, if so replace

What's the code? 0401=Insufficient air flow=clogged EGR port. Replacing your EGR Valve won't help. You have to take the intake manifold off and clean the port. I just did mine.
