egr block off
I have been noticing people having problems with their egr ports becoming plugged up. So my question is could we just make a block off plate and remove the egr all together? What problems could this cause in the future? I could have a block off plate made from an aluminum block. But I don't want the car to go crazy if I did. I'm in arkansas and we don't have inspection here so that would not be an issue.

No issues here. I have a CEL (Check Engine Light) but it hasn't effected the way it performs.
P2R block off plate.
I have seen others make a spacer with a filter and put the egr valve on top just so you don't have a wire hanging there.

the egr system is only an issue because its not in any maitenance schedule
and you have to be a TL specialist to know the problem exist
Others are fooled by the code and replace the valve--not solving the actual problem
Do some minor work,,under 2 hours at the most casual pace and taking breaks
to restore clean
service the throttle body and its idle air control valve
those are both dirty and you wont know how bad it effects car until its fixed.
like running seafoam and new plugs
If you have a CEL you need to know what the codes are and the real problem
driving with it is not ok!
only true track race cars need to block off the egr as it will rob power from them
for the street car, its part of the Federal emission control that gives us an `ultra low` rating

Ask Paul to help you out.
He can make you an EGR block with a fitment to attack to the intake. That way you aren't just blocking off the Exhaust Gas, but replacing it with clean Intake Air. That should prevent a CEL. Not 100% sure on the CEL part though.
Either way, only for racers really.

That all makes good sense. However I'm not going full race (yet) and don't haveCEL or anything am going to clean properly but was wondering if my street car would be fine with it being blocked off even if I have to trick the system. And if there was no egr to begin with then technically tjere would be no future problem.
