Well without reading the whole article and just looking at the final results it looks like it was put over the top because it has a great bang for the buck.

Take out that and the BMW wins.
The BMW ran away with "personal picks". So perhaps the BMW they enjoyed more but it cost to much $.

Not to bad mouth my TL. I love it.

 

I agree with what one of the editors said:

"If not for the existence of the 3-series, this would be my favorite car". Most of us here test-drove a Beemer, or at least though about it, before buying a TL or TL-S. The fact that the two of them scored so closely in this recent comparo indicates what Acura has to offer--excellence with value (though they are right when they say materials are cheaper. You DO get what you pay for). I offer that if it weren't for the existence of the TL, I'd probably a BMW owner today.

 

I'm a little surprised that the TL-S ran neck to neck against 330i, even though it was automatic... but then TL-S is automatic too.
