Better in what regards? All out stopping ability, least amount of brake dust, quietness in operation.....
Both the Hawks and EBCs are great all around pads. If you want all out eye bulging stopping ability I would go with a full metal pad (axis metal master etc..) however, going full metal requires heavy duty rotors and comes with the hassle of extra brake dust on your rims and slight squeeking under light use. If you just want a slight upgrade from stock without all the hassle of an all out performace pad both the Hawks and the EBCs are a great choice. Between the two, I would choose the EBCs, based on feedback and reputation. Just MHO.
