EBC Green Stuff + Rotora Slotted = Quiet??

hey guys...

am most probably getting Rotora slotted for all four wheels on my '99 pretty soon... i know a lot of you use EBC green stuff pads... someone has told me that they find the EBC pads a little noisier than stock - is that true? i know a lot of you don't agree going this route (and i probably won't unless i do hear back that the Green Stuff is a bit on the 'noisy' side) - but are the axxis pads quieter? i've heard they don't have as much bite (and produce more dust) - but are a bit quieter...

?

i'm not so concerned about the choice of rotors - just the pads...

thanks!

Noisy? yes maybe for the bedding in period, but after they are quiet, and the bite is great...its definitely a greay combo.

Axxis=Shit
EBC=Hawks=Great

EDC's are definitely a lot better with the dusting, but from my understanding the Axxis's have a better bite. I currently have the Axxis MM and although they have awesome bite, they are extremely dusty. I do not think I will get them again in the future. So to answer you question. your set up sounds fine.

my brakes setup

Taking to considerations of all the posts I have read on this board, I decided to go with these setup for my brakes replacement. Nothing fancy because I do not drive that hard. I just want to get rid of the vibration and keep it quiet as it is now.

Brembo rotors (4) OE replacement from tirerack - $262 with shipping
OEM pads (4) from dealer - $140 + tax
Labor from dealer - $180 + tax

Thanks for all your posts. I learn alot from you guys.

EBC and Hawks are both great...

Daphan, for 140 u might want to get performance brakes from tirerack. (EBC/Hawk)

try to find it cheaper than 180 to install, a bit expensive.

Thanks for all of your advice/opinions so far! Will be ordering the Rotora slotted soon - so I guess I will have to figure out what to do about pads pretty soon... Thanks again!

Those using EBC -- are they quiet with your rotors? Someone told me today that theirs are still pretty noisy - but weren't sure if they were just that way cuz they were new...

I have slotted Rotoras with Acura pads. Quiet and grippy. Dust is normal, not bad with stock TL-s wheels.
Im still loving it.
