EBC Green Stuff Installation

Hi all,

So i took the plunge and ordered a set of front EBC Green stuff pads including a set of Oem-Spec Brembo Blanks Rotors. But, I am going to have my local mechanic put 'em. Is there anything in particular I should warn him about regarding installation?

Thanks in advance.

I have the Green Stuff pads. Just be aware you might get slight squealing at light brake pressure. I had that for about the first 10k miles on the pads. It seems to have gone away since then. Its a common complaint with those pads. Some had the problem while others didnt. I have the anti squeal shims and all so its not particular to my installation. On the plus side the pads grab nice and hard. I use them with Powerslot rotors. With about 20k miles on the combo now, its the best setup I've had on my car (my car had 104k miles at the moment (on my 3rd tranny btw...))

I got the EBC Green stuff pads and Rotora slotted rotors, and I haven't had a squealing problem at all. I have had them on for about 5,000 miles now. I really don't think that you should have to warn your mechanic about brake installation. I would think that he would know what he is doing. Why won't you install them your self. It isn't a hard or long process, I think I got mine done in like an hour, and I didn't have to pay for labor...... other than some busted knuckles, but that's the joy in workling on your own car. I guess you have the extra cash......

I think some of the nubs needs to be shaved on the pads... I think it was the rears that needs to be shaved.
