EasyCare and maintenance question

Does anybody have Easycare contract with total care? It says taxes and fluids are covered. Does that mean i don't have to pay taxes fo repair jobs at my dealer?

My dealer charged me for fluids and air filter when they did the manintenance on my car. Did I get ripped off?

You probably did just like anyone else who takes his/her car to the dealer. Dealers as well as most service garages charge full retail++ for parts. They also usually refuse to put on parts if you buy them yourself and bring them in. (i.e.- the same Gates or Dayco radiator hose that costs $14 at Napa is now a $42 charge from the dealer or local garage.) They claim that a (paraphrase) 12month/ 12k mi. warranty is why it costs that much. Hell, for that I could obviously buy anothr one myself and still save money!!
