DW1 3X4 update
DW1 3X4 update
I just did the 4th change in the 3x4 DW1 trans fluid replacement. Yes I go the extra change as I want to minimize any dilution between the fluids...
Well I can tell you the drain plug magnet came out with almost nothing clinging to it! Usually there is a fair amount of "fir", so either there isn't any material left on my clutch packs or the DW-1 is running a lot cooler with less friction wear. The transmission never shifted this good when new/replaced- so far so good.
With almost 100k on the replacement I will keep my fingers crossed. And everyone up to date.

good news, i am also experiencing great results with DW-1. Much better cold shifting, faster over all shifting, smoother. Cant complain, only good results so far. At first there wasn't a huge difference over z1, but once it starting to "wear" in after several hundred miles it is defiantly like night and day compared to z1.
