DVD player read no disc when DVD is inserted

DVD player read no disc when DVD is inserted

My DVD player says that there is no disc after I put a DVD or a CD-R in the drive...Can anyone tell me whats wrong or how to fix it??

What type of player do you have? Maker? Model? Did it give you an error code or anything? need more info to be able to at least "try my best" to help...

I have the Alpine DVA-5205 run on the CVA-1003. There is no error code or anything. It just reads "no disc" for all dvd's and cd-r's. Any thoughts?
