I dropped my parking behind the brake light. I tried to get it out with a wire but it seems to be stuck. I stopped by the dealer and said that they could take out the brake light assembly but it would be $50. Is it easy to do myself or does anyone have any other ideas?

dude just pull up on the assembley where it meets the top part of the back seat. It will snap out and lift away from the back dash. Undo the light bulbs from it first from inside the trunk. They twist and snap out.

I had a hard time putting it back in....I stopped by the dealer to get it put back in....

I can't believe they would charge $50 to do it...i hate when the dealer tries to nickel and dime everyone.

shoot.. it aint' hard to put it back in .. after a clipped finger, I realized what was up and now I can do it with ease. we're talking about that brake light/bose cover right? well, as mikem said, just pull up from the back seat area to get it out. it takes a little convincing. what happens is at the end where it meets the window, it has two prongs that go below that area. so you pull upwards and then outwards towards you ..

to put it back in, you have to match the end by the window to go underneath two little bars I think .. the two prongs has to go below something thats behind there. If you dont get a tight fit on the end by the window, you're not doing it right... after that .. you have to 'convince' the end by the seat to go down. The child seat holder is gonna get into your way so you have to force/bend the piece a little to allow it to get back through and snap.. it'll slap back in .. .
