I've seen a car that looked like that, I watched the idiot back into a pole, so obviously the damage was already there.

People like that have no use in society. Good thing I wasn't there, otherwise I'd probably lose my temper and beat the living hell out of them until the edge of death. I'm just glad I didn't catch the thieves in act when my old Civic was stolen. I'd probably be in jail after what I would have done to them, and I'm not that type of guy. Stuff like that just enrages me to the point where I'd go crazy on someone. A vandal and a thief is just as bad as any other criminal in my book---mass murderer or whatever. Times like that are when I'd love to be a judge. I would chew them up and spit them out.
