DRL bulb options

i am getting really tired of looking at the yellow drl's that we have on our cars... i know that i cant put in hids cause well they just wont ignite... i know that i can throw in a set of those xenon knock off bulbs but i really dont like that blue tint that is around the bulb and it really sticks out... does anyone know of a bulb that will give that cool blue/white look and not have that blue tint?!?!?

You can have then ingite because it isnt getting enough voltage but there is a way around it so that when ur DRLs are on, the HID DRLs will be on with full power. I think all these aftermarket bulbs burn out unless you pay a good amount for it like PIAA.

From what I understand, there aren't too many bulbs that will look whiter in the DRL socket. Even those Sylvania bulbs will appear yellow when used for DRL. DRL are your high beam bulbs - only they are running at 50% when on DRL mode. I too have heard that many aftermarket bulbs/brighter burning bulbs won't last nearly as long. I totally hear ya though - I definitely find our DRL VERY yellow compared to the HID headlights I'm now used to. I actually just keep my full lighting system on all the time anyway...so I don't really run my DRL much at all.
Before spending a lot of money on bulbs, see if you can find someone who has run these bulbs as DRL. I asked one of my mechanics about a few specific bulbs when I was thinking of changing them myself and he's told me of many people who have switched over and gotten the same results/appearance as OEM....not as white as you would hope/still quite yellow.
