Driver's side window doesn't work

Hey all, just passed my 10 year mark recently, and looks like car is showing its age. In addition to other things, my driver's side window doesn't work. I've been reading on the forums that it could be bad relay or actuator problem? I checked the fuse, and that's ok. If it's a bad relay or actuator, how much does it usually cost to fix? Is it a DIY project? Anyone else take to get it repaired and if so how much did it cost (parts/labor)? thanks...

just a guess here so sorry if it doesnt help - the door panel is easy to get off so how about you see if you can swap the back driver side door window motor and see if that fixes it?
there will be a screw to remove right behind the door open handle and the part where you pull the door shut with your hand. then you just start at the bottom corner and slowly pop the clips off and then lift straight up and off the door

Here's a couple half-ass things you can try to narrow it down: Hit the door panel a few times with a rubber mallet or your fist....pretty hard but don't break stuff. Have the key on and your finger on the switch when you do this. If it starts working, you need a motor. Most likely the brushes are worn down to nothing and you nudged them back in place temporarily. Try opening and closing the door or wiggling the wiring harness in the door hinge area. If it works now, you probably have a broken wire or two in the harness right where you were wiggling it. While sitting in the car, look at the dome light while you push and pull on the switch. [key on, not running] If the light dims slightly each time you accuate the switch, you probably have continuity through the whole circuit. [most likely the motor] If it doesn't dim, you have an open in the circuit. [wiring, switch, motor, etc.]
