Coilovers are just like springs except that it is adjustable while the springs are pre-set drop. Other coilovers also have dampening ability meaning you can set how hard or soft you want the ride to be.

BTW, I have the Apexi Coilovers. I needed the adjustablity option cause I live in area that have snow and I need to raise my car back up in the winter and drop it in the summer.

Hey Binh,

you have N1 World Sports Damper, right??

What's the drop amount? FRONT & BACK.

I am thinking about getting either Apexi or Mugen coilover like the one Tim has.

I have read that the coilover ride can feel more stiff than a spring/shock setup with something like koni adjustables.
Can anyone attest to this?

Performance wise, I wouldn't recommend getting coilovers because you can never set those things evenly unless you have the automobile scales that makes sure the weight is distributed evenly....

I mean, you would be constantly tuning the crap out of those things...but I'm guessing most of us are not buying coilovers for performance reasons.

So if you're a normal driver and looking for coilovers because you really want adjustable ride height whether for looks or road conditions, then coilovers are a good way to go.

Otherwise you're better off getting springs and shocks.

Yea they are the N1 World Sports Damper.

I have a 3" drop all around.

The Apexi Coilovers are great and the ride quality was better than I thought. I don't know about Mugen so I can't comment on that.
