Doesnt feel planted anymore

I took a 10 drive to Canada this weekend. I noticed the car doesnt feel as stable at highway speed as much as it used to. I aslo have a slight vibration at about 70-90 mph. Not so much in the steering wheel tho. Ball joints maybe? Bent wheel maybe?

if the car feels floaty at highway speeds you could have a bad shock. the vibration could be wheel balance or alignment related, but you say the vibration is more in the body of the car and not the steering wheel?

I am thinking just the weight of that stereo stuff has caused a minor toe-out condition

you can balance tires, and an hour into a trip they are already beaten by the road

I had the tires rotated and balanced a week before I went. The stereo doenst weigh all that much from what I remember. And yes it feels more like a bod vibration. Especially when going around turns. I did look at my tired and they seem to have tiny crack from what looks like dry rotting. I can feel a vibration in the wheel but it doesnt shake the wheel, if that makes sense. Feels more like road feedback. I had the people inspect the suspension when I had my tires balanced and they said it looked good. They said one of the wheels needed 3 grams of wheel weights, which was high and may be from the wheel being bent. They said they got it balanced out tho.

^Try to keep your bent wheel on the back axle^ Car will still feel shaky around corners though. I had a slight bend in one of the wheels on my old car. Unless you get it replaced it will never feel the same. If your tires are dry rotted you'll also feel more sidewall flex over bumps and around corners.
