Does your TL sound like this?
....when the engine's running... there's this really subtle ticking sound... I've had my car for almost 2 years now... and it's always had this sound... the last meet I went to, I brought this up with some other TLers... and a couple people said that their's does the same and it's normal... one dealership (by my parents' house) wanted to keep my car over night and figure out what that sound was... but I couldn't let them keep it cause I had to go home that night... I had to work the next day (I live about an hour away from my parents). However, the dealership by my house, said that was perfectly normal... The sound just "bugs," I hate hearing it.
Any of you guys know what I'm talking about?

...BTW, I forgot to mention... the sound's coming from under the hood.

its abnormal but normal, the sound is the ticking of the valves riding the cam lobes. the reason we hear it alot is cus the oil used in the tl engine is so thin that it doesnt mask the sound, as would thicker oil would, i really wouldnt worry about it unless the sound got increasing louder...that should suggest severe wear in the valvetrain of the engine then in that case it should be checked out...
