does your clock light up at night in your TL-P?

I just noticed something last night about my TL-P. The clock does not light up at all? How can I tell time at night? Is this one of Honda's minor details or is it just broken?

Please advise...

hopefully...

I gave it some thought last night, and the only thing I can hypothesize was Honda didn't think it was safe to know what time at night your driving... you know what I mean? It would be a mental stress....

The bulb is probably burned out. Happened to me too so I bought the $5 bulb and changed it myself.

i am guessing you just take the panel off and replace the bulb? Doesn't sound too bad... what kind of bulb does it use? I may have a spear just laying around somewhere?

I just picked up the bulb at the dealer so I don't know which type. There used to be a FAQ here that detailed how to remove the dash, etc but I think since they changed servers, it's gone. Basically, I removed the dash, removed the clock, and changed the bulb.

this means, that I will have to go to the dealer and wait all day for the bulb to be changed...

I have already taken the panel off 2 times, due to the SRS light issue ealier.... I think I will just go to Auto Zone or somewhere for the bulbs, and do it myself....

You all know what I mean? Rather than having to wait a whole day for the dealer...

The panel is somewhat of a pain but if your not under warranty I'd definitely change it myself.

the clock lights up whenever the ignition is on. instead of waiting all day and paying dealer to change it, may as well do the led conversion

you are right about the panel, Type S Lady. However, I just don't want to turn in my car for someone to take all day on and to fix it... you know? especially when I know how to and have taken it apart twice... Unless it's something severe like engine problems or "transmission replacement"....

As for the LED conversion, more info please! Also, have you done this for your own car, Tatewaki?

Thanks

Tatewaki has done a total blue LED conversion on the whole interior of his car. I'm sure he has a night pic to post. it looks really cool.
