Give it the full detail with claybar-then several compounds and pads with the UDM orbital buffer, final polishing to get the last micro swirls ---
so its better than new, all topped off with a spray on carnuba-synthetic blend wax to protect your hard work for 3 more months
The neighbor thinks my 01 is brand new- `What are you doing under that thing! it cant need any repairs yet~`
At the grocery store: bag boy carrying out the stuff ask the wife- is this YOUR car?
Well, my H put the wheels and shocks on it~
Yeah- that explains it, didnt look like a girls car
me at gas station to girl cashier- ahh pump #?? mmm
`You must be that badazz lowered grey car right? Looks like you belong with it!`

yea, i got the udm and all the toys along with it last year, so my car looks nice and wet and shiny majority of the time. i actually prefer the danase wet glaze with the 4star UPP as my final sealant, altho honestly ive yet to try a quality carnuba. so we'll see
i do love the LGM color tho, ive seen a few here and there and its very nice
not sure i believe that last quote from the gas station girl tho :shakehead

I dont know about the stare down but I park in front of my work window as well. Its on the street so I get to make sure nobody gives me a ding and I can stare at it. I actually watched some idiot back into my car when I first got it, man watching it happen was heart stopping for sure.

I wouldn't say mine "turns heads," but it definitely gets compliments. I've gotten a few "thats a really nice car." But, I think alot of it is because I'm so young... I once got, "Is that really your car?!" Like she was thinking I stole my mom's car or something. And one of my friends that is uneducated in cars called my car a "Granny car." She then proceded to call it "Nana" She drove a 4 Cylinder Mazda, and said her car would "blow mine off the road."
I don't know if you woud call it turning heads, but I get alot of stares at the gas station. Like when I get out and start pumping gas, and they realize I'm the one driving it. Alot of my friends like the car.
Its basically stock, only AZiners would know its modded... It has 3A Tips, and the fog light mod for my DRLs. Those are really the only visual mods. It will soon turn heads though! I'm getting my wheels refinished to fix stupid curbing, and an OEM lip-kit!
But, as a car enthusiast, alot of cars turn my head. I took a nice stare at a 07 Nissan Maxima 3.5SE today... 3Gs are nice, but everyone has one... Kind of like 325i's, and G35's...
Sometimes I hesitate to tell people what I drive. Again, because I'm young. If I tell them I drive an Acura they automatically assume your a spoiled bitch. But, if someone is bragging about their car, I get to laugh at them in my head. Especially because most of them are poorly maintained. I just agree with them, then think... "My car is a four-door luxury sedan, and would still probably pull on that..."
At the end of the day, the only head it turns that matters, is mine. I love my car, and am very lucky/grateful to have it.

I still get compliments from time to time. I also get people asking me what year my car is. When I say 99 they freak out. I can't believe your car looks so good for being 10 yrs old. I like the attention though.

I've NEVER been told that. Lots of girls like my car though.

Second of all, the reason you're getting looks with those huge ass rims is because they're thinking, "WTF?!?! Why the hell is he trying to make his car look like a 4x4 truck?!?!".
And third, the 20, 22, 24, etc. emblems are gayer than a pool party at Richard Simmons' house. :theghey:

^do they even sell them in the UK? you can't be serious and say that you imported it?
anyways, yeah mine got looks throughout high school (wow, i feel young) but it was only 3 years old at the time and yes, call me a spoiled brat all you like but it was at one point my fathers. in high school people would hate on it because the stock system was louder than most peoples riced civics and accords.
then I gave it to my sister (new lawyer at the time, needed something classier) and i took her civic and hooned the shit out of it (i am guilty. i admit)
then she bought a 5 series, so i took back the tl and (though she can't drive and dented it) i'm in the process of restoring it's glory and inspiring it. :-)
though people at the law firm wonder why I drive an "old" acura while I make just as much as them and they drive their german imports. I tell them, if they saw MY german import, they have a wet dream :-) AND they don't understand. driving a TL is labor of love. it's reliable as anything and looks great, but only an aziner would understand the patience that goes into making it excellent. not to mention, I can't drive a lightweight civic or rs6 in the city every day :-/
now the civic, is being parted...and turned into a track special (si hatch. greatest civic ever built)
