I wanted to ship a bumper in a bumper box but my local UPS store wouldn't let me. They said it was too big. Please let me know if you think otherwise. Thanks!

 

Ur loccal UPS Retail Shipper? Like Staples, or Mailbox etc. they probabably won't. You have to take it to the distribution center...the actually place where they sort the packages and deliver them. I got my bodykit from UPS...

 

i can see that bodykits are shipped by UPS because their boxes are much thinner than the bumper box.. Hm I have never heard of taking a shipment directly to the distribution center... so they will bill me right there right?

 

Yes, they weigh it and bill according to where it is being shipped to.

Freight truck can. But it will cost a pretty penny...

ah man, my box is about 160 inchese in length and girth combined.... that sucks

Try calling you local UPS distribution center like AcuraTLFan said before. Maybe they will still ship it with extra charge.

 

You can ship it but they charge Dim weight all shippers do. Be prpared for over 300 dollars

UPS should take your sized package. I ship via UPS every day through my biz. I believe the maximum girth that they will accept is 130".

UPS Girth is measured by:

1 x longest dimension of the box ; PLUS
2 x width of the box; PLUS
2 x height of the box; EQUALS GIRTH
For example, assume a box is: 74" Long, 12" Wide and 12" tall you get 74 + 24 + 24 = 122"

Now that I am thinking, I believe UPS might even have recently increased their allowable grith req. Either way, you should be OK. Good luck!

thanks for the explanation... I think my total dimension is about 150-160 inches.... which means UPS might not be able to do it...
