does lowering ur car ruin ur cv joints?
i was told that when you lower ur car the cv joints are under a lot of stress. is this true? i dont see it because they are still connected at the same place...

lowering your car will increase the stress of the cv joint but as long as it's well lubed, it shouldn't make that much of a difference. the problem you encounter is that now the boots are always being angled, therefore will typically rip/break much faster than a none-lowered vehicle.
if a broken cv-bood isn't repaired quickly, the grease will fly out, dirt/grit/water/etc... can leak in and essentially destroy the cv joints.
so yes, and no. the boot usually is the cause of the problem. just make sure you inspect the boots whenever you have the front wheels off, check for cracks and rips. or the obvious tell-tale sign, grease every-fuggin'-where.
