does anyone know how this works?

my brother just got a ticket in ohio, but we live in Michigan. Do the points transfer? He got a ticket for doing 80 in a 65. Does anyone know how the point system works in Michigan? Thanks for your help.

Not sure but, dosen't matter where you get the ticket you'll still get points on you record according to the laws in Michigan.

in wisconsin (atleast it used to be this way)our points are shared with bordering states. but once out of those then the points are only in the ticket issuing state

I got a ticket in Wyoming on the now infamous 9/11. I was trying to get home since flights were cancelled.
I got my insurance renewal 2 weeks ago, the ticket finally showed up.
It's only a matter of time before it gets discovered.

Sorry my friend, years ago tickets didn't go beyond state line - which was
good since I was a trucker in my youth, they exchange info now.

When I got nailed in WY i was doing 92 in a 75, I tried explaining my worries about 9/11 and my family - he could care.

Check this out - he told me I had to post bail of 200.00 bucks on-the-spot!!
Being from CA this seemed more like a bribe and I told him so. He told me he would take me to the nearest ATM (in the middle of WY!!), I was thinking more like into the hills to thump me.

Fortunately I had cash on me so I was good - friggin' state troopers!!

Some states have extradition laws with Michigan, but others do not. New York doesn't do it with Michigan, for example.

But I'm not sure about Ohio. Hell, I don't even know how to check if it is. Anybody know?
