Does anybody have more than 403k on a 02 tl-s ?

i have a 02 tl type s navi with 402,500 miles on it . it has been such a great trouble free car i just bought a 07 tl-s to replace it and gave the 02 to my 17yr old. i owned it from 50k and have only put in one trans(under warranty) and two sets of axle shafts and wheel bearings . the cd and tape is inop and the heated seat inop and the steering rack leaks alittle but otherwise every thing still works great and car still gets 26/28mpg. i did all my own maintance
and changed the oil every 6500 to 8000 miles and just kept up with the cars basic needs .
(my 93 legend coupe went 410k before the headgasket went) . but here is the kicker i have NEVER put a timing belt in my car .yes i know thats risky but after 250k i figured i just put in a new motor if it went. So far i love my new 07 tl-s and look forward to 400k more miles on it .

Post PICS!!! I gotta see in what shape a 400k+ TL is in!!. That's really crazy though, I hope my car makes it that long. Is it in the original motor? How does it run and do you use premium or regular fuel?

WOW!! Never did the TB job eh? And I was worried mine was going to go out at 129k. Now no one is going to change their TB and we are going to have a lot of "My TB Broke" forums in the next few months.

Wait, you never replaced your timing belt? That's interesting.

Did you ever have your valves adjusted? I'm guessing not if you never changed your timing belt. That makes me wonder if valve adjustment is even necessary...

seeing is believing. i personally don't think 403k miles is possible for 02 TL. Please post pictures to prove me wrong.

upload the pictures to a photo sharing site, like photobucket.
once uploaded, right click the image and copy image URL.
then paste the URL to the thread

Works!!!

now to get them to show up in the thread, simply add an image bracket to the link...
for example...
[IMG]photbucket.com/1234342432 [ /IMG]
with no spaces.
try it out
