I have seen many postings of people saying their 96 TL has remote keyless entry. As I understand it, the 3.2 does and the 2.5 does not.

I have tried programming an FOB to work with my 2.5 with no luck. Has anyone simply programmed a remote to work on a '96 2.5 TL?

 

I hate to tell you this but 96-97 2.5 TL had dealer installed keyless entry (kenwood system), not factory installed, so not all 2.5 TL have them. 96-98 3.2 TL came with factory installed keyless entry. So you're not going to be able to program a remote if there is nothing to program. You can always get an aftermarket alarm.

 

wow...the tl didnt have keyless entry...thats a shock...thats somethign nessasary for a luxury car

 

My '95 Acura Legend LS Coupe (MSRP $43,620) also didn't come with keyless entry. It was a dealer add on.

I would hope that one could still get the system from a place that sells Acura parts.

Yep, it was the second most expensive car Acura sold that year (the NSX being the most expensive).

It was even more expensive than the GS sedan.
