-----> that peice of thin metal that covers the front of the headers. It has a pic of a hand dont touch. It it useful in any way except keeping the headers clean. I might take it off completely or maybe chrome it out just for looks. What yall think.

 

It's a heat shield. Yes you can remove it. If you go with aftermarket headers, it won't fit anymore anyway.

Chroming it would be cool.

 

Oh. So if when I buy the comptech headers it wont fit anymore? Also if I take it off now it won't damage anything right?
