Do you also have rattles and squeaks?
Hi,
I am wondering what percentage of owners have rattles and sqeaks. My car is at 1700 miles and I have quite a few, including but not limited to: Sunroof rattle, side panel rattle, and the worst of all: the C-pillar rattle which will drive me crazy..
If we can figure out what percentage of owners do have these problems, I think it will make a stronger point when I complain to Acura customer service, which i will do very soon.. so go ahead and vote if you do have or dont have.. Thanks

Sunroof: fixed by dealer.
Door Panel: fixed by dealer, but still noticable on course pavement
Pillar: The little plastic part behind the adjustable seat belt mount. Raised up my seatbelt, rattle gone.
Squeaking from seatbelt fixture: WD-40, creaking gone.
Overall noises: Dropped tire pressure from 38 to 32, most light rattles are gone.
Rattle by sunroof: padded the inside of sunglass holder, noise gone.
Now the majority of the sound is leather creaking or the
occasional light rattle from having a stiffened suspension.
I was stressing for a bit, but I'm happy again.
If I went back to stock wheels and ride oriented tires, i think i would be noise free.

Anyone?

Dudes,
I just bought a gorgeous white diamond with parchment interior TL S-Type with nav. I friggin' dig this car!
Reading all about your squeaks and rattles from your relatively new cars is really scaring me about my car...and it pisses me off, too! WTF? My parents owned a first generation Legend many moons ago and the only thing that was wrong with that car was that the thermostat went nuts one day and had to be fixed. THAT'S IT! I don't recall any major squeaks, rattles, and assorted problems that I have read here!
Is Honda getting lazy with their quality control? Does it have to do with the car being built in Ohio rather than in Japan? I sure hope not! That would be LAME.
Was the car originally made in Japan and brought to America?
I have 1,400 miles on my beauty and she's pretty much flawless in terms of squeaks and rattles (knock on wood). I drive 100 miles round trip to work everyday and she's performed admirably.
I had to replace a cracked foglamp due to a friggin' rock hitting it...but that wasn't Acura's fault so I'll let that one go.
My dealer told me that Acura is going to slow or halt TL production? Is that true? That don't sound good. Ugh. But I still dig this car! Hehe...
Well...if the squeaks infect my car...at least the car has a great stereo to cover up the noise. LOL.

Dont be scared.. just be aware.. LOL My Dad had an old Legend as well.. Great, SOLID car. Its my opinion that our TLS may fall short to the build quality of that car (my experience). BUT all that Ive heard/read and experienced in my own car, these rattles etc can be fixed by the dealer with out any major probs.. just a slight headache due to the idea of having this happen on a new vechicle.. Be proud, you have a sweet ride none the less![
